111Gas Meter Functions and MeasuresThe following list compiles the functions and LCD display, as well as how to deal with issues for E-type/S-type LP gas meters.FunctionLCDLEDDisplay ContentDisplay PeriodMeasureNo gas comes outTotal Flow RateShutoffWhen an amount of gas, more than the total ow automatically set for shutoff value, ows it will shut off. Example) Mistaken opening of gas cocks, rubber pipes coming looseUntil the meteris resetPress the reset button to make it relearn. If the meter capacity is small, replace the gas meter.Flow Rate Increase ShutoffIf there is unusually large increase in gas ow compared to the device with the largest consumption volume in the installation location, it will shut off. Example) Rubber pipes coming loose during useUntil the meteris resetPress the reset button to make it relearn. If the meter capacity is small, replace the gas meter.Use TimeShutoffIf gas ows longer than the gas use time of the shutoff value that was set automatically, it will shut off. Example) Gas devices being left onUntil the meteris resetPress the reset button to make it relearn.Reset Safety Check ShutoffIf gas ows while resetting, it will shut off. Example) A combustor was used before resettingUntil the meteris resetClose all the combustors and reset.Seismoscope Operation ShutoffWhen the built-in seismoscope senses an earthquake equivalent to intensity 5 or higher, it will shut off. It will sense the ow rate 2 minutes before and after the earthquake and shutoff.Until the meteris resetPress the reset button.Gas Leak Alarm Linked ShutoffIf the LP Gas Leak Alarm or No. 2 Alarm sounds for longer than 40 seconds, it will detect a gas leak and shutoff. It will be displayed when the + and – of the signal wire are reversed.Until the meteris resetVentilate well.Check the linked wire, then reset.Pressure Drop ShutoffWhen the pressure of the supply pipe drops below 1 kPa while in use, it will shut off.Until the meteris resetDepending on the status of regulator outlet pressure checks and the remaining amount in the cylinder, it may not be possible to reset it to reset without doing forced relearning.Shutoff Abnormality WarningIf the gas ow rate is detected while the shutoff valve in the meter is closed, the microcomputer will determine that the shutoff valve is malfunctioning or not fully closed, and then shutoff will be executed.Until the meteris resetIf the same thing happens after resetting, replace the gas meter.Meter Abnormality Display *E-type onlyThis will be displayed when there is some abnormality in meter measurement or the shutoff valve.CannotResetReplace the gas meter.Gas comes outFlow Sensing Small Leak WarningWhen it senses a small leak from the meter outlet to the combustor inlet, and there is a ow of gas continuously for 30 days, it will display a warning.Until 1 time test shutoff and resetDo a test shutoff to check for leaks then reset.Pressure Sensing Small Leak Warning-Checks the difference in gas pressure during use and the pressure when it is blocked (immediately after the gas is stopped) every 15 minutes, and if there is not even one instance of a pressure rise exceeding 0.2 kPa in 30 days, then it displays a warning.Until 1 time test shutoff and resetCheck for gas leaks from the regulator outlet to the combustor inlet.Regulated Pressure Abnormality Warning-It will be counted as an abnormality when the pressure from the regulator to the combustor inlet exceeds the range of 2.8 kPa ± 0.5 kPa. Abnormalities will only be counted once even if they occur two or more times in a single day, and if the cumulative count exceeds 15 times within in 30 days, then it will display a warning.Until 1 time test shutoff and resetInvestigate the outlet pressure of the regulator.Block Pressure Abnormality Warning-Checks the block pressure (for 1 minute) after using a combustor for 5 minutes or more. When the block pressure of the regulator exceeds 3.5 kPa, this will be counted once. If there is an abnormality 15 times in a row or more consecutively, it will display a warning.Until 1 time test shutoff and resetInvestigate the outlet pressure of the regulator.Battery VoltageLow Warning-It checks battery voltage inside the gas meter, and if the voltage falls below settings, then it will display a warning.40 Days *From display Shutoff after 40 daysReplace the gas meter.Backow Warning *E-type only-When a meter is installed backwards and used, it will detect backow and display a warning.Until 1 time test shutoff and resetCheck the installation status of the meter. Do a test shutoff and reset.E-type/S-type Security Gas Meter Functions and Measures■ Online DisplayYou can watch “Gas Meter Safety & Security Guide: Button Settings”.
